Community Involvement and Professional Affiliations

Close Construction actively serves the communities it serves by supporting youth activities and by service on community boards and councils. Our company provides baseball uniforms for a team in the Okeechobee County Recreation Association baseball league. We also support youth group programs at the First Baptist Church in Okeechobee.

Our company’s president, Chris Close, serves on the Okeechobee Economic Development Council, a community organization dedicated to bringing business to the city of Okeechobee and Okeechobee County. Chris also is an alternate for the “City” of Okeechobee Planning & Zoning.

Close Construction is a member of the Okeechobee Builders Association and the National Association of Builders . We are participating members of the Florida Green Building Coalition and the United States Green Building Coalition, working to advance buildings that are environmentally responsible, high performance, sustainable and healthy places to live and work.
