Community Involvement and Professional Affiliations

Close Construction actively serves the community by supporting youth activities and by service on community boards and councils. Our company has provided baseball uniforms for an Okeechobee County Recreation Association baseball team. We are an ongoing supporter of the youth programs of the First Baptist Church of Okeechobee.

Our company’s president, Chris Close, serves on the Okeechobee Economic Development Council, a community organization of local business men and women who are dedicated to diversifying and growing the local economy by bringing business to the city of Okeechobee and Okeechobee County. Chris previously served as an alternate for the City of Okeechobee Planning Board/Board of Adjustments and Appeals.

Close Construction is a member of the Okeechobee Builders Association and the National Association of Builders . We are participating members of the Florida Green Building Coalition and the United States Green Building Coalition, encouraging our clients to build structures which are environmentally responsible, low maintenance, sustainable and provide a safe and healthy place to live or work.
