Meet Our Key Management Team

It has been said that a company is only as strong as its leadership. The Key Management Team at Close Construction is the most important ingredient in our company’s success. When Close Construction is involved with your project, you will find these key people there to oversee its progress every step of the way.

Chris CloseChris Close—President and Founder

Chris Close, the president and founder of Close Construction, still has the energy and enthusiasm that led him to found his own company back in 1989. It is contagious, and each member of his management team has caught it! Chris himself serves as project director for all company projects. His experience includes land development, building construction and construction management for both commercial and residential projects.

Design input and review, specialized construction features and producing a quality product are his specialties.

Chris has been involved in the field of construction for the last 24 years. He has hands-on experience in many areas of construction and has a thorough knowledge of trades, coordination and scheduling. He has directed projects for individual homeowners, Medical Groups, Correctional Institutions, Municipal Facilities and Educational Organizations.

After earning his A.A. degree from Indian River Community College, Chris graduated with a bachelor of science in Building and Construction from the University of West Florida. He also has had extensive Florida Stormwater Inspection Regulations Training and has been actively involved in the study of Sustainable Design Services to help conserve water, to make his buildings energy efficient and to utilize reclaimed products whenever feasible.

Chris Close is licensed as a General Contractor in the State of Florida--#CGC048773. 

William WhiteWilliam “Billy” C. White—Vice-President and General Manager

“Billy” White joined the Close Construction Team in 2002 after 14 years as owner of his own company, White Brothers Construction, Inc. With over 32 years of experience in the construction industry, including served as operations manager for a lumber company, he has been involved with preconstruction and construction phases on projects for the Department of Juvenile Justice, the Seminole Tribe of Florida and other projects.

Billy’s has also had Florida Stormwater Inspection Regulations Training and is a licensed Florida Residential Contractor--#CRC046168.

Danny BoromeiDanny Boromei—Vice-President and Division Manager of Heavy/Horizontal Construction

Danny Boromei came to Close Construction in 1999. He has over 12 years of experience in all aspects of construction.  As the Divisional Manager of Civil Construction he has a vast  knowledge of heavy and horizontal construction. Since joining the Close Construction Team, Danny has been involved in all phases of site construction from design (including value engineering), estimating, construction, supervision and project closeout.

Danny also has undergone Florida Stormwater Inspection Regulations Training. Once a master carpenter, Danny now holds his own General Contractor’s license (#CGC1508299). His career began with Sikorsky Aircraft in helicopter construction, and he still is licensed by the FAA as an Airframe and Power Plant Mechanic.

Guy LangeGuy A. Lange — Project Manager of Vertical and Heavy Construction Divisions

Guy Lange came to Close Construction in 2004. He has 27 years of experience in construction, primarily in Massachusetts. He attended Massachusetts College of Art, graduating with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Environmental Design in 1997 and was an architectural design intern for the following year.

 Guy had a variety of construction experience including five years as a Master Carpenter for a building and remodeling company specializing in luxury homes. His prior experience has prepared him well for his responsibilities at Close Construction. He has a working knowledge of heavy equipment operations and boat house construction as well as permit application research for dam construction, job cost estimating and drafting of proposals on his resume.

Sheryl WellsSheryl Wells—Office & Homan Resource Manager / Assistant Project Manager

Sheryl Wells came to Close Construction in 2004 after ten years with Consolidated Inspections of Florida and another 13 years in various administrative and accounting positions in the construction industry. At Close Construction she supervises the office and Human Resources as well the administrative staff. She also serves as an Assistant Project Manager on Residential and Commercial projects, where she provides contractual, technical and administrative support to the Project Managers and Superintendents.

Sheryl is a member of the Construction Financial Management Association. She has taken specialized classes on construction safety with OSHA, is certified in Construction Industry Financial Professional Overview and studies Florida Stormwater Regulations for Contractors.

Robert YanchisRobert T. Yanchis—Lead Estimator

Robert Yanchis came to Close Construction in 2008(?) after four years as Vice-President of Pre-Construction with Hammer Head Construction and Development Corporation in Sebastian, Florida and work as a Senior Estimator for Lennar Homes in Rockledge, Florida. He is a 1999 graduate of the University of Florida with a Bachelor of Design in Architecture Degree and previous study of architecture at the Savannah College of Art and Design.

Robert has been involved with a wide variety of projects including new construction and renovation, design/build to hard bid and contract administration between the contractor and architects and engineers and the contractor and subcontractors. His architectural training serves him well in reviewing drawings during pre-construction planning. He has experience in estimating projects that range in cost from under $100,000 to well over $100 million.

Duane BrownDuane Brown - Project Superintendent and Labor Foreman

Duane Brown serves as Project Superintendent and Labor Foreman for Close Construction.  He possesses over 33 years of experience in general construction.   Duane has gained a vast amount of knowledge from his experience with carpentry, drywall, painting, scheduling and human resources.  He is committed to maintaining a project schedule while upholding the highest standards of workmanship.

 

 

Doug Reising

Doug Reising - Project Superintendent and Safety Compliance Officer

Doug Reising serves as Project Superintendent and Safety Compliance Officer for Close Construction.  He has extensive experience in the field of construction.  Mr. Reising has gained vast amount of knowledge from his experience with carpentry, drywall, painting, scheduling and human resources.  Doug also has completed the OSHA Construction Industry Training Course through the University of South Florida and keeps current with numerous safety seminars.
